Step One: Discover

Once you've been in touch, your advisor will contact you to arrange a chat. At this stage, we're looking to understand your thoughts, objectives and ethical concerns. We'll also talk you through our process and fee structure. (Though you won't pay a penny yet.)

After our chat, we'll send you a ‘Letter of Authority’ which we'll need you to sign and return. This gives us permission to approach your existing Investment or pension provider, where applicable, for specific details — like how and where your funds are invested. It doesn't let us move any money or make any changes.

We'll email you to let you know when we've received the details. We will review the information and then arrange a further call to discuss what we have found out and the pros and cons of changing.

Step Two: Fact Find & Risk Assessment

If a transfer is possible (where applicable) and it will achieve your objectives you will need to decide whether you wish to use us to undertake the transfer on your behalf.

We'll then start needing a few things from you. Filling this all in should take you around an hour and we're on hand to help if you need:

  • A signature on our client agreement.

  • Your Factfind document filled in and signed.

  • Your Risk Assessment questionnaire filled in and signed.

These documents will allow us to adapt our investment strategy to your needs, circumstances and objectives.

Once we've this received this from you, your consultant will analyse all the information, and send you a formal report with our recommendations. We will talk you through this report before any decisions are made.

If you agree with our recommendations you'll need to sign and return the report. Then, we'll start to implement your new strategy.

Step Three: Implement

We'll take on all the work required to ensure a smooth transition of your investment to their new home. This includes liaising with your current provider, disinvesting and transferring funds (where applicable).

As we develop your portfolio, we'll keep you updated regularly.

This includes:

  • Quarterly valuations and reports detailing the progress of your Investment or Pension.

  • A personalised annual review with your dedicated consultant. This is an important discussion to make sure that your Investment or Pension continues to be suitable taking into account your personal circumstances and values.

  • We'll also be available at all times to answer any questions that you might have.

Whilst this is all going on, we'll be rallying the Purposeful.Money mission!
